Import Compliance Data

The Import Compliance Data page allows you to quickly update compliance statuses in your system by importing files, rather than manually setting each control or objective. This is especially useful when migrating data from another compliance solution or working with large frameworks.

You can import compliance data in two ways:

  • From IntelliGRC – available for CMMC Level 2.
  • From an Internal Template (ASCERA or CUIComply) – available for all frameworks in your system.

How It Works​

1. Select Import Tool​

At the top of the page, you’ll see a dropdown menu to choose your import source:

  • IntelliGRC

    • Use this option if you are migrating compliance data from IntelliGRC.
    • Only supports the CMMC Level 2 framework.
    • You will obtain the export file from your IntelliGRC instance.

  • Internal Template

    • Use this option if you want to import compliance data for frameworks already available in your system.
    • Supports all active frameworks.

2. Select Framework​

Next, choose the framework you want to update:

  • Internal Template

    • Once you select a framework, a Download Template button appears.
    • The template is an .xlsx file containing all controls and objectives for the selected framework.
    • Fill in the statuses in the spreadsheet before importing.

  • IntelliGRC

    • Select the CMMC Level 2 framework from the dropdown.

3. Import Your File​

Once your file is ready:

  • Either select your file or drag and drop it into the import area.
  • Click the Import button.

Importing data will override your current compliance data. A confirmation window will appear to ensure you want to proceed

4. Confirm and Complete Import​

Once the import is complete:

  • A success message will appear on the page.
  • The imported statuses will now be visible in the app under the corresponding framework.
